project Description
The project at Golden Grand Apartments, Yeshwantpur, involved the conversion of the terrace of the Grand Club into a premium sports facility. The primary objective was to create 3 teak wood finish 75mm Badminton Courts with BWF-approved HAVEA wooden flooring, along with provisions for 2 future squash courts. This transformation was designed to elevate the sports infrastructure of the apartment complex, offering high-quality recreational spaces for residents and users.

CHALLENGES
Included limited terrace space requiring precise planning for efficient use, and ensuring weight distribution and stability for wooden flooring installation. Weather conditions posed further difficulties, with fluctuating temperatures and potential rain. Effective coordination among structural engineers, flooring specialists, and technicians was crucial for timely and successful project completion.
- Material Movement: Efficiently moving materials to height to ensure smooth installation. activities and optimized for space efficiency.
- Structural Reinforcement: Strengthening column pillars and extending them to support the new infrastructure.
- Terrace Slab Levelling: Ensuring the RCC terrace slab was leveled and corrected for proper installation of the wooden flooring and court structure.
- Execution and work timings: The client limited work to after 5 PM, requiring schedule adjustments. Additionally, fabrication at a height of 120 feet posed safety risks and logistical challenges, necessitating specialized equipment and careful planning.
SOLUTION
To tackle time constraints, we adjusted schedules to maximize work during the evening hours. For fabrication at 120 feet, we used scaffolding and cranes to ensure safety. Limited space was efficiently utilized with precise planning, while weather challenges were addressed by selecting weather-resistant materials and adjusting work schedules accordingly.
