WHEN THE FLOOR BENEATH THE GAME GIVES WAY
The Nandi Club at Indian Railways’ Senior Officers Quarters in Bengaluru had a badminton court that had served its players well until the wooden subfloor beneath it quietly deteriorated, taking gameplay performance with it. Surface irregularities had compromised player movement, shock absorption, and the consistency that competitive badminton demands.
A full structural replacement wasn’t the answer. What was needed was something more precise: a targeted rehabilitation of the existing wooden base, followed by the installation of a professional Yonex BWF-approved playing surface.

THE CHALLENGE

With the base structurally sound, the Yonex BWF-approved mat system was installed with precision tension stabilization, ensuring a perfectly flat surface with no risk of displacement or wrinkling during high-speed play. Official court geometry was then mapped and marked to BWF competition dimensions, leaving the facility tournament-ready. The result delivered everything a full reconstruction would, at a fraction of the cost and timeline.
