The scope of work for the DPS Whitefield project encompassed the construction of a 28,000 sqft football field with a durable wet mix subbase to enhance drainage and performance, along with the repair and renovation of the running track using an SBR EPDM spray coat system. This included field leveling, subbase preparation, and installation, as well as addressing wear and tear on the running track to restore its functionality. The project was planned and executed to meet international standards, ensuring long-term usability, safety, and durability for both facilities.
The football field suffered flooding in July 2023 due to a nearby lake overflow, leading to subbase damage and uneven levels. Over time, the running track experienced surface wear and tear, including cracks and grip loss, impacting usability. Addressing these issues within a tight timeline while ensuring durability posed logistical challenges.
A robust wet mix subbase with efficient drainage was implemented to prevent future flooding. Advanced leveling techniques restored the field’s surface, while the running track was repaired with a fresh SBR EPDM spray coat for enhanced performance and longevity. Streamlined project management ensured timely and high-quality execution.
